Roses gone bad

PORTLANDS......these are repeat flowering old roses with many stiff branches and excellent foliage. Because they came from a Damask cross, the fragrance is extremely strong. They usually grow into a compact shrub and are prone to black spot. This group should be pruned back by a third when dormant to provide a good succession of blooms. They also need good soil for better blooms and to help discourage black spot.
